JR QB Quinton Flowers, No 9, 6’0” 210 lbs.
Flowers has shown big play ability with his arm and his legs. He’s improved his release, velocity, touch, and accuracy on his throws and has the ability to extend the play. When he breaks the pocket he is even more dangerous and throws well on the run. He becomes a running back when he tucks it. I would still like to see more poise in the pocket and better accuracy on intermediate throws.
JR RB Marlon Mack, No 5, 6’0” 210 lbs.
Mack is a home-run-hitting back every bit worthy of being put in the same conversation with the top backs in the country. He is big, fast, and elusive. He has excellent hands out the backfield and is a willing blocker in pass pro. I would like to see more against major competition. He will have his opportunity this season.
SR WR Rodney Adams, No 87, 6’1” 190 lbs.
Adams is a legit deep threat receiver who does a great job at separating from defensive backs. He has high point ability and is a good hands catcher. He also brings value in the run game doing jet sweeps and quick screens. I would like to see him continue to shape up his route running.
SR OLB Nigel Harris, No 57, 6’0” 225 lbs.
Harris is your prototypical 2016 outside linebacker he is rangy with great athleticism. He is a 3-down back who can fill a gap and cover a slot when necessary. He is a sure tackler in the open field and brings the aggressiveness necessary to play the position. I would like to see him be a more effective blitzer but it may not be in the gameplan.
JR ILB Auggie Sanchez, No 43, 6’2” 245 lbs.
Sanchez is a tackling machine in the middle of that Bulls defense. He had good lateral quickness and he attacks open gaps well. He fights off blocks well and he has a good feel for when to slip would be blockers to get to a ball carrier. He has improved his blitzing and it has been paying dividend early this season. I would like to see him more effective in pass coverage.
SR SS Nate Godwin, No 37, 5’11” 210 lbs.
Godwin is athletic and aggressive. He had started an abundance of games for USF so he is very experienced and knowledgeable in the defense. He plays primarily at the second level and is a great tackler sometimes doubling as a linebacker. He is good is slot defense and man coverage. I would like to see him make more plays on the ball. He has a decent number of passes defensed but only 1int in his career at USF.

JR RB Dalvin Cook, No. 4, 5’11” – 206 lbs.
Home run speed and elite elusiveness highlight his game. He is a reliable pass receiver out of the backfield and has an expanded role this season. He sets up blocks well and has the patience with slow a play to develop mixed with the explosiveness to take advantage once it does. I would like to see better balance in traffic.
SR FB Freddie Stevenson, No. 23, 6’0″ – 243 lbs.
Excellent physicality at the point of attack and good pass blocking. He is your prototype fullback. He was a LB in high school so he’s been bred in the box. Very good at identifying the hole, exploding through, and locating defenders to block. I would like to see more receiving ability.
JR *WR Travis Rudolph, No. 15, 6’1″ – 189 lbs.
Excellent route runner with reliable hands. Possesses fluidity in and out of his breaks and uses intelligence to find weak spots in the secondary to sit down in. Good excellent after the catch and toughness in tight spaces. I would like to see continued improvement in physicality. Especially after the catch and in run blocking.
JR OT Roderick Johnson, No. 77, 6’7″ – 311 lbs.
Johnson came into 2016 with a high grade especially as a run blocker. He’s long and athletic for the position and possesses a mean streak in blocking. Moves his feet well to advance on defenders and uses his hands to swallow his man in run blocking. I would like to see him anchor down vs the bull rush and give up less penetration. Work on kick slide to pick up outside rushers.
SR DE DeMarcus Walker, No. 44, 6’2″ – 273 lbs.
Walker has improved every season at FSU. His versatility is what makes him so attractive. He can be an effective pass rusher from the outside or as an interior rusher. He is also good against the run displaying the ability to use his hands to disengage from a blocker and the athleticism to chase the ball down. I would like to see more twitch and explosion from Walker off the ball and a secondary move in pass rushing.
JR DT Derrick Nnadi, No. 91, 6’1″ – 312 lbs.
He is your prototype nose guard. Strong at the point of attack with lateral quickness needed to chase ball carriers B gap to B gap. He uses his hands well and keeps a low pad level which helps him displace offensive linemen. I would like to see him apply more pressure against the pass. Exhibit more moves that disengage him from an offensive lineman.
SR CB Marquez White, No. 27, 6’0″ – 181 lbs.
Athleticism and length are pluses at the next level and White possesses both. He has been relied upon to play the field side corner which comes with a defensive coordinators trust and the responsibility to cover more ground. He did that job very well in 2015. It also gives him the advantage of experience playing both sides if he is needed to travel with a receiver. I would like to see better ball skills out of white and more aggressiveness against the run.
SR SS Nate Andrews, No. 29, 5’11” – 210 lbs.
Andrews has been reliable during his tenure at FSU. He has a nose for the ball and is a good tackler in space. He has man coverage ability while also possessing in box physicality. I would like to see him improve in his hash play and be more reliable in his zone assignments.
SR WR Kermit Whitfield, No. 8, 5’8″ – 180 lbs.
SR WR Jesus Wilson, No. 3, 5’10” – 186 lbs.
SR OG Kareem Are, No. 72, 6’5″ – 334 lbs.
SR DE Chris Casher, No. 21, 6’3″ – 256 lbs.
SR CB Ryan Green, No. 7, 5’10” – 205 lbs.
