Football Gameplan’s 2016 Preseason D2 All-American Team

Football Gameplan, established in 2007, has selected a Preseason FBS All-American team since 2013 as it has for the FCS, D2, D3 and NAIA levels.

Football Gameplan CEO/Founder & Analyst Emory Hunt, who is also a college football color-commentator ( www.footballgameplan.com/tv-network ), is the host of The FCS Kickoff presented by the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and also does weekly commentary on Football Gameplan breaking down the big games in D2.

Football Gameplan has also released two football motivational/inspirational books entitled Football: A Love Story and What Did Football Teach Me. Two of the top three rushers from last year are represented here on the 1st Team All-Americans.  Both Ja’Quan Gardner (Humboldt State) and Austin Ekeler (Western State) combined for over 3,900 yards on the ground and 44 rushing touchdowns.  The PSAC is well represented along the lines of scrimmage with OL Jordan Morgan (Kutztown) and Ethan Cooper (IUP), and defensive linemen Marcus Martin (Slippery Rock) and Richard Nase (Shippensburg).

Quarterback Jeff Ziemba led the Shepherd Rams to the D2 National Championship Game after posting 30 touchdowns to only 5 interceptions.  Keelan Cole (Kentucky Wesleyan) was a game breaker last year as both a receiver and kickoff returner. Defensive Lineman Joby Saint Fleur (Northwest Oklahoma State) terrorized opposing offenses last season finishing with 10.5 sacks. Devyn Williams (Oklahoma Panhandle State) posted an eye-popping 34.1 yards per kickoff return.

Wide Receivers David Moore (East Central) and B.J. Burn (UNC-Pembroke) headline the 3rd Team All-Americans. Both wideouts combined for 24 receiving touchdowns.  Julian Morgan (Tuskegee) is the second Golden Tigers defensive player to make the list. Punter Felipe Parra (West Texas A&M) averaged an impressive 43.1 yards per punt.
